Berlin saw the first Semantic Web Day occur this month on June 19th. The main topic of discourse was "Semantic Business Process Management", chosen as a rich area for combining semantic technologies with business. SBPM is described by the Freie Universitat Berlin, who hosted the conference, as "the combination of Corporate Semantic Web technologies, such as rules, events and ontologies, with BPM."
This combination of research with business further establishes the importance of semantic technologies in the evolving world of business. Read a review of the event and find future opportunities to join this ongoing conversation here.
